Angela Carr, D.Soc.Sci, M.H.A., R.N.

Angela Carr is a Health Scientist Administrator supporting the U.S Preventive Services Task Force and the Evidence-based Practice Center Program. She oversees stakeholder engagement and serves as a project officer for assigned grants, contracts, and task orders.

Dr. Carr received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hampton University, her master’s degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University, and her doctorate in prevention science at Wilmington University. Dr. Carr has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years in a variety of settings, including acute care, developmental disabilities, and long-term care. Prior to joining AHRQ, she served as the director of population health for one of the nation’s largest post-acute care providers. In this role, she worked with various healthcare systems, insurers, and healthcare agencies to improve the quality of care and outcomes of patients across the continuum of care.
