Leanne Dougherty, M.S.

Leanne Dougherty is a Staff Fellow with the Evidence-based Practice Center Division. In this capacity, she collaborates on evidence reviews to inform practice guidelines and research agendas. She also supports partnerships with groups that use AHRQ products, including our collaborative efforts with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Prior to joining AHRQ, Ms. Dougherty was a senior implementation science advisor at the Population Council. In this role, she managed a portfolio of research activities aimed at informing the implementation of social and behavior change interventions to improve health and development outcomes. Previously, she worked with John Snow, Inc., conducting research and evaluation of maternal and child health programs with a particular interest in addressing factors associated with vaccination coverage among children in sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
