- Describe why this topic is important.
This topic is important because I have monitored my husband on these high blood pressure medications for ten years. His mental health immediately changes and became more hostile negative and less optimistic about life. Drastic and noticeable changes happened in his mental health when he secretly stopped taking the medications for long periods of time. He was noticeably more focused on projects less complaints from his job less hostile and more positive in his thinking. After returning to the medications the symptoms immediately returned. He is clear that the medications are causing these mood swings and feelings of depression and hostility.
- How will an answer to your research question be used or help inform decisions for you or your group?
It will help inform decisions about options and dosage. It will help with decisions on whether depression medications should be added. It can also help with decisions about whether these medications contribute to potential violence or suicide.
