Two EPC Reports Recognized for Their Scientific Contribution and Impact

Two professional organizations have recognized Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) reports for their outstanding scientific contributions to the fields of headaches and geriatrics.

The membership of the American Headache Society has named "Management of Primary Headaches During Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Breastfeeding: A Systematic Review" the most impactful article published in the society's journal in 2021. The article, based on an EPC report, was authored by the Brown EPC. The article was one of the most widely read and highly cited papers published in the Headache® Journal in 2021.

Publications based on an EPC report were two of 12 landmark articles in geriatrics according to an analysis that included bibliometric analysis, consensus panel review, and an expert opinion survey of the American Geriatric Society. The two articles examined the use of antipsychotics for preventing and treating delirium in hospitalized adults.
