Since 2014, the AHRQ Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Program has produced systematic reviews for the National Institutes of Health Office of Disease Prevention’s Pathways to Prevention (P2P) workshops, which identify research gaps in a scientific area of broad public health importance and suggest ways to move the field forward. The systematic reviews rigorously assess and synthesize published research related to workshop topics. In addition to serving as the foundation of every P2P workshop, the systematic reviews inform the Independent Panel Report, which summarizes the workshop and research gaps, and the Federal Partners Meeting Report, which highlights opportunities for collaboration among Federal agencies and resources to help address the panel’s recommendations.
