- I'm an alcoholic... when I stop drinking, I shake , tremor, have pretty bad withdrawals. I've been to the hospital multiple times because of alcohol related issues. The last time was for 8 days. The point of my rant, is that I honestly believe, that THC helps extremely well for alcohol withdrawal. It stopped all of my tremors, relaxed me, and made me not want to drink. I honestly think low doses of THC everyday well do a lot to help with alcoholism
