How about studying psychological tests? Are the test safe and effective? What are the risks? How about using the development and procedures a new drug must go through. Do we need to require informed consent? Could a infomation like a PPI…

1. Your Nomination - Please briefly describe in your own words the question about a health care test or treatment that interests or concerns you:

How about studying psychological tests? Are the test safe and effective? What are the risks? How about using the development and procedures a new drug must go through. Do we need to require informed consent? Could a infomation like a PPI be helpful? The information would tell how it is to be used and risks vs. benefits? Let's proof the benefits. HOw about bringing out the best? A patient needs to be more informed. A few years ago a patient may not have known what the drug was that was prescribed. Now the time has come to bring out the information with regard to the tests. One set of potential subjects could be traumatic brain injury. How much harm comes from early testing? Does testing cause anxiety, improve outomes, or have a negative contribution? If we treat a tbi patient as disabled from the begining does that a increase the chance of patient filing for a disablity? Do these tests contribute to malingering? Does the present lack of regulation increase the chance of a test being ineffective?
