Outcomes: CTCAE Grading of symptoms and side effects; Informed decision making
Overall Example: How do demographic factors, prognosis, and social determinants of health affect one's experiences with specific cancer treatment regimens?
2. Why are you struggling with this issue?
Studies examining symptoms of cancer treatment regimens are limited with respect to differences in demographic factors, socioeconomic status, and cancer stage
The impact of social determinants of health on how cancer regimens will be tolerated has not been explored.
There is difficulty individualizing treatment regimens and identifying additional supportive care strategies based on SDOH and socioeconomic status.
3. What do you want to see changed? How will you know that your issue is improving or has been addressed?
Conversations between providers and patients with respect to treatment options and supportive care strategies will be informed by how people in similar clinical and personal situations have tolerated certain treatment regimens.
Providers will know how SDOH impacts tolerance and adherence and suggest treatment and supportive care strategies that are feasible and attainable
