Substance Use Disorders in Adolescents Questions: What are efficacious/effective interventions for substance use disorders occurring in adolescents (generally and by specific substance of abuse excluding tobacco). Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous/12-step interventions Behavioral interventions including CBT, Family therapies Pharmacologic interventions How do these interventions compare with each other Populations: By age younger and older adolescents Gender, ethnic, and racial diferences Comorbid diagnoses : depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, disruptive behavior disorders and ADHD Harms: Worsening of use Diversion/abuse of medication
