Briefly describe a specific question, or set of related questions, about a health care test or treatment that this program should consider.

Why do clinical studies for Pharmaceutical treatments differer from real life results using the same treatments? Please compare Pharmaceutical treatments outcomes in real life settings with Pharmaceutical treatment results achieved during clinical studies.

Does your question include a comparison of different health care approaches? (If no, your topic will still be considered.)

yes

If yes, explain the specific technologies, devices, drugs, or interventions you would like to see compared:

Proper packaging for Pharmaceutical products. Pharmacetical Compliance packaging is one of the most cost effective ways to improve treatment outcomes and reduce Adverse Drug Events while reducing the cost of treatment failures, Dr. visits, hospitailzations and nursing home admissions. Current solutions would reduce our annual health care costs by at more than $100 Billion dollars each year.

What patients or group(s) of patients does your question apply to? (Please include specific details such as age range, gender, coexisting diagnoses, and indications for therapy.)

Patients with a Chronic conditions such as Asthma, Arthritis, Alzheimers, Cancer, Depressions, Diabetes, Epilipsy, Heart Disease, Kidney disease, Osteoperosis, Parkinsons. The Incidence of AIDs would be greatly reduced. In fact, an estimated 1,000,000 unplanned pregnancies could be prevented by improving the way consumers use Rx products.

Are there subgroups of patients that your question might apply to? (For example, an ethnic group, stage or severity of a disease.)

Reduced disparties in Pharmaceutical treatment outcomes for these sub groups would be improved while overcoming many of the current socio-economic barriers to successful treatment outcomes.

Describe the health-related benefits you are interested in. (For example, improvements in patient symptoms or problems from treatment or diagnosis.)

Improved treatment outcomes and reduced Adverse Drug Events while reducing the complications associated with treatment failure for patients with Chronic or co-morbid medical conditions regardless of socio-economic background.

Describe any health-related risks, side effects, or harms that you are concerned about.

Currently, an estimated 40% of treatments fail and 765 of patients to not use their medication correctly. The risks, side effects or harm are if we doing nothing. The U.S. currently spends more treating medication accidents than we spend on ALL prescription medication combined in the U.S.

We cannot fix our healthcare systme without getting around the elephant in the room.

(For example, you are developing a clinical guideline, working with a policy with large uncertainty about the appropriate approach, costly intervention, new research you have read, items in the media you may have seen, a clinical practice dilemma you know of, etc.)

I have spent the past 10 years of my life developing the most cost effective solution to this hidden epidemic.

Does your question represent uncertainty for clinicians and/or policy-makers? (For example, variations in clinical care, controversy in what constitutes appropriate clinical care, or a policy decision.)

no

If yes, please explain:

Potential Impact

How will an answer to your research question be used or help inform decisions for you or your group?

Until we address this issue our healthacre system will be stuck in a perpetual spiral of escalating costs and sub-therpeutic treatment outcomes resulting in 405 of treatment failure, millions of hospitalization and an estimated 218,00 deaths each year.

Describe the timeframe in which an answer to your question is needed.

This affects our country, our healthacre system and the people, patients and caregivers struggling to manage a chronic considtion or fighting a life threatening disease.
