Geriatric Problems: Top Complaints and Research on Treating these Problems
Many times, research does not address problems occurring in the elderly population because elders are an at-risk group, many elders have multiple diseases, and many elders are on a number of medications making the results of studies harder to evaluate. The elderly population is on the verge of exploding as the baby boomer generation begins to gray. There is a great interest in finding more information on common geriatric problems and ways to treat them derived from evidence based practice to improve the care to this population of patients.
